After setting up a new exhibition (Smith & Williamson, Salisbury) I thought I would take advantage of being close to Stonehenge. Typically though I failed to do the necessary research and after following the signs I found myself at the visitor centre and facing a £15 fee and a bus journey to join the tourists eager to see the wonder that is Stonehenge. This didn’t sit well with me at all and I left, muttering my dislike for the institutionalisation of my country, as I remembered that you can see the site from the A303 and sure enough I found a dirt track just off this road which gave a decent view of the stones and the surrounding countryside.
Many shots later, some HDR processing and cloning to remove the tourists I ended up with an original shot of the monument.
